What Are Pool And Spa Barrier Inspections?
ENSURING SAFETY FIRST BY THE WATER
An inspection of your pool or spa barrier determines if the barrier is compliant with the applicable standards – including the relevant Australian Standards.
It’s important to recognise that a reputable inspection can only be executed by a registered builder, building inspector or surveyor. Choose Site Inspections for ultimate peace of mind. Don’t leave your safety and compliance to chance!
Why might you need a pool or spa barrier inspection?
In December 2019, new laws came into effect regarding improvement of the safety and compliance of swimming pool and spa barriers. Now, it is mandatory for owners of land upon which a pool and/or spa is located to both register the pool/spa with the local council as well as provide a certificate of compliance.
Note that these updated laws now apply to both spas and swimming pools that have the capacity to hold a minimum of 300ml (30cm) of water within their shell.
